You do not have to live in Ontario to earn an Ontario credit.
We teach one course at a time, fully online, in a six week session. When you pass, the credit is recorded on your Ontario Student Transcript, the same provincial record issued by every secondary school in Ontario.
Students join us from other provinces and from other countries for one reason. The credit is worth something where they are going.
Every course runs online in every session. There is also an in person option at our Vaughan campus for students who are in Ontario.
What one Ontario credit is worth, depending on where you are
The honest answer is different for each of the three groups who study with us, so here are all three.
You are in Ontario
The credit counts straight toward your 30 credit Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Because it is delivered online, it also satisfies part of Ontario's requirement that at least two of your 30 credits be earned online.
You are in another province
Two things are true and both are useful.
For university: universities outside Ontario write their entry requirements in Ontario course codes. McGill requires the OSSD and counts your top six 4U, DU or 4M courses. UBC, Alberta, Manitoba and Memorial all publish Ontario equivalency lists.
For your home diploma: your province decides what to award for an Ontario credit. Saskatchewan converts one to one on hours and names the Ontario Student Transcript directly. Quebec publishes a conversion table. British Columbia states that students should generally be granted credit for courses taken in other provinces. Ask your own school principal first. You are outside Canada
You can build toward a full Ontario Secondary School Diploma without ever entering Canada, and universities on four continents publish the marks they want from students who hold it.
Studying online from your own country needs no Canadian immigration status of any kind. Nothing to apply for, nothing to wait on.
Why students take a single course with us
Most of our students are not starting from zero. They need one specific thing.
The Grade 12 credits that decide university offers
These are the codes that appear in published entry requirements from Vancouver to Singapore. A student short one of them in the spring cannot apply to engineering, life sciences or commerce that year.
Note for planning: almost every university listed below counts six Grade 12 courses at the U or M level, and most want ENG4U among them. Build that set from Grade 11 onward, not in your final term.

Each of these institutions publishes entry requirements naming the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or Ontario course codes, on its own website. Open any of them and check.
Published requirements checked August 2026. Universities revise them annually, and meeting a minimum is never a guarantee of a place. Always confirm on the university's own page. A student athlete should note that the NCAA approves only U and M coded courses, so tell our Admissions Office at the point of application if you intend to play in the United States.
Why our online is not like the others
Most Ontario online credit providers sell a self-paced course you can start any day and finish within twelve months. We deliberately do the opposite.

Six weeks of structure beats twelve months of good intentions. That is the whole argument, and it is why our courses finish.
Studying from another time zone
Our scheduled day runs 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Ontario time, but you are not required to be at a screen at those hours. A student in another time zone may complete the same scheduled hours at another time of day within the week, so long as that week's milestone deadline is met.
You keep the same deadlines as everyone else. You choose the hours.
Your final examination, your way
Every student, in either format, chooses the examination route: online under proctoring with identity verification, or on site at the Vaughan campus under staff invigilation.
By prior arrangement, and at no additional charge. Nobody has to fly anywhere to sit an examination.
What the week actually looks like
Course materials and unit study, assignments and unit evaluations, teacher-mediated discussion, and independent offline work. Twenty hours a week for five weeks, then ten hours in the final evaluation week.
Your weekly learning log is submitted every week and read by your teacher.

BBB4M, BOH4M and BAF3M carry no prerequisite. MCV4U requires MHF4U, and because you take one course per session, MHF4U is always completed in an earlier session here.
Check these four things before you enrol
We would rather you enrol with your eyes open than complain later, so here is the part most schools leave out.
- If you are enrolled at a school in another province, speak to your principal before you pay. There is no national agreement that transfers high school credits automatically between provinces. In most provinces the receiving principal decides what an Ontario credit is worth toward their diploma, and some require a number of credits earned in their own system before they will issue it. Every province has a process. Use it before you start, not after.
- Two provinces award the credit but not the mark. Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador record a transferred credit as a pass without carrying your Ontario percentage. If your mark matters for a scholarship, plan around that.
- If you have a specific university in mind, read its own requirement. They differ sharply. Erasmus Rotterdam accepts 4U courses but not 4M. UBC does not accept MDM4U in place of Pre-Calculus 12. NUS Singapore asks for 90 per cent in every subject. We will help you read them.
- In person study means being in Canada. Online study does not. If you are outside Canada and choose the in person format, you are responsible for holding a valid Canadian status that permits you to study here. We are a school, not an immigration representative, and we cannot advise on permits or visas.
One course at a time, and we mean it. Six sessions a year means a maximum of six credits a year with us. We do not compress a 110 hour course into anything shorter than a full six week session, for any fee. If you need more credits than that in a year, you will earn the balance elsewhere and transfer them in.

Sessions start six times a year. Tell the Admissions Office which university or which diploma you are working toward, and we will help you choose the course and the session that fit.
